The Silverback SolarTM Framing

If you want to mount photovoltaic or Solar Thermal panels on a flat commercial roof and you're tired of dealing with heavy ballasted systems that ruin the roof, or those other wimpy strut and aluminum rail systems don't have the strength you need, then Silverback racks will be a pleasant surprise. The tubular design with sliding connectors allows unlimited adjustment during installation. Simply slide the fittings on the tubes to level and plumb the rack, then lock them together with self drilling tek screws.

• Adjusts for roof pitch
• Tubing pre cut to length
• Installs fast

Tubing
• Size: 2.5" and 1.5" round, 16ga and 11ga
• Material: 40ksi to 55ksi steel
• Exterior Finish: High quality Gatorshield by Allied Tubing
• Interior Finish: Zinc rich paint to protect from interior rust

Pre-cutting
Because roofs slope up and down for drainage, the tubing for the Silverback racks can be cut to different lengths for each frame to keep the top of the array level. We have a way of pre-cutting these tubes to length for you, eliminating the need to cut tubing on the rooftop. During the installation of the Base Supports, field measurements are taken using a laser level at each roof attachment location. Those measurements are given to our design team at Silverback and using our special software, we engineer and pre-cut the tubes to length. The tubes are then labeled by frame number to match the roof plan layout for easy installation.

Crimp
Because the tubes are pre cut to length, we can crimp the ends to reduce material and labor cost.
